Owen's teaching aims to give students the tools they need to express themselves through music. This includes not only proper technical ability at the piano, understanding of theory, and a well trained ear, but most importantly an inspiration rooted in history, culture, and observation. No two musical journeys are alike and so he strives for an awareness of each student's passions, motivations, and strengths.

Owen currently teaches at Hoff Barthelson Music School in Scarsdale, NY. He also teaches private lessons in his Manhattan Apartment, known as Morningside Piano Studio.  Owen is a teaching partner with Steinway and Sons in Manhattan, NY. His students have recently performed at Steinway Hall, Greenwich House, Flushing Town Hall, and Carnegie Hall.
